Maisa has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is the co-founder of Nova Dental along with Dr Mickelson. She has structured her family-owned dental practice to provide excellent customer service along with outstanding dental care. She brings vast knowledge of administrative experience in Office Management, Human Resources, and Accounting.
When not at work, Maisa is spending time with her two kids, husband and friends.
She strongly believes in the power of community is always looking for ways to give back.
Assistant Manager
Caroline joined our team in January 2023, and is currently completing advanced courses for dental management and communications. She enjoys being part of a team where she is helping people and where she learns something new each day. Caroline is thoughtful and considerate of our patients, and works to keep our office running smoothly.
Outside the office, Caroline loves to hang out with her brother and father, practice Jiujitsu, and going to the beach or to movies.
Dental Assistant
Loves being able to help our patients make the right decisions about their oral health and dental treatments. He is very understanding of our patients’ problems, and can always be found helping everyone in our office. Renato is currently a sophomore at HCC and is a pre dental student. He has gotten his Certified Dental Assistant certification in 2024 and divides his time between assisting our Doctors and helping our front desk team.
Renato lives with his younger brother, and in his spare time enjoys soccer, skating and going to church with his friends.
Dental Hygienist
Kristal is our dedicated dental hygienist with a strong foundation in dentistry, having trained as a dentist in Venezuela. She brings compassion and expertise to every patient she sees. Outside the office, Kristal is a proud mom to Decker and Gaby and stays busy as a cheerleading mom. Family time is her greatest joy, and her caring nature carries over into the way she connects with our patients.
Dental Hygienist
Almir is a highly skilled dental hygienist with a strong background in dentistry, having trained as a dentist in Brazil. His expertise and passion for patient care shine through in everything he does. Outside of work, Almir enjoys the outdoors—whether it’s spending time at the beach, cooking up a delicious barbecue, or diving into new studies about dentistry to keep his knowledge fresh and up to date. His warm personality and dedication make him a valued part of our team.
Dental assistant
Osmara brings exceptional skill and dedication to our team. Originally trained as a dentist in Mexico, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that enhances the care we provide every day. Outside the office, Osmara is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle—she loves waking up early to work out before work and stay active. Being bilingual in English and Spanish, she helps us connect with and better serve our diverse community.
Patient Coordinator
is the welcoming face that helps patients feel right at home from the moment they walk in. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their dogs, and loves relaxing with cookouts and movie nights. Her warmth and friendly personality make every patient interaction a positive experience. We are so lucky to have her on our team!
